WORLD CLASS WEEK: WEDNESDAY ROUND-UP

Today began with the 5 star challenge in London’s top hotel bars: American Bar at The Savoy, The Connaught, Artesian at the Langham and the Punch Room in the new Edition hotel. At lunchtime, there was an elimination at the Shaw Theatre, which whittled the 48 bartenders down to just 16. The Written Word challenge then began, where each of the bartenders had to create 2 drinks inspired from literature. Belgian bartender, Hannah Van Ongevalle, took this one step further and based her cocktails on two popular bloggers!

Here’s our highlights from the day:

In the evening, there was a shock elimination and 4 bartenders left the competition: Anton Velich from Slovakia, Jan Liska from UAE, Le Thanh Tung from Vietnam and Leroy Soumokil from the Netherlands. Our final 12 are now:
